As one half of the equation that brought into existence two lovely, very stubborn little girls, I am, by all lights of reason, a father. More colloquially, a dad. (There are of course many paths to earning such a moniker; this just so happens to be mine.) And as is my moral obligation, bestowed upon me by this definitional truth, I appreciate all things dad. Dad hats, dad jokes, dad bods, I have and love them all. But you know kids, ole dad used to be pret-ty cool in his day. Don’t believe me? Well if he wasn’t, then how do you explain him being hep to Dad Grass, the maker of pre-rolled CBD joints who have just release a new collaboration with Yes Plz?
The new collab between the LA-based Yes Plz and Dad Grass—who are “reviving the mellow sensibility of the casual smoke”—is dubbed Dad Beans and has everything a dooby daddy could want. Included in the bundle is a 250g bag of coffee sourced and roasted by Yes Plz (in true Yes Plz fashion, it is a blend, featuring two coffees from Huehuetenango, Guatemala and another from Nariño, Colombia) as well as a Twoobie, two pre-rolled .75g hemp CBD joints containing no more than .3% THC legal limit. But for me, the best part is the special addition coffee mug. Just look at it, it’s brand new but still yellowed with age as though it were created back from Pop’s hay day. And what’s that doobie doing? Having a coffee? And the coffee is having a doobie! What a pair.
Fellow dad and Dad Grasser, Sprudge co-founder Jordan Michelman took Dad Beans for a sip and a rip, which he describes as “tickling a little hit of nostalgia in the back of my throat from when life used to be fun.”
The Dad Beans bundle can be ordered with just coffee and pre-rolls, mug and pre-rolls, or the full bundle with coffee, mug, and pre-rolls, and can be ordered via the Dad Grass website. And because the CBD joints don’t exceed the THC limit, Dad Beans can be legally shipped anywhere in the country.
Watch out now kids, Dad’s still got it. Now if you’ll excuse me, Dad’s gotta go visit his old friend Tony Shabloney.
